I know e equals 2.718...

but why is it that when the variable becomes such a large number and is plugged into a calculator, the answer becomes one and not the constant we know?

Mark M.

What variable become such a large number?
What does the variable has to do with e?
What answer (and to what question) becomes 1 and not a constant (just like 1 is!)?
