A box has a volume of 128 feet3. The length is twice the width and the height is the same as the width. What are the dimensions of the box?

this is just a simple question that i have.

L = 2W

h=W

LWh = 128

 

 

Since L = 2W

and h = W

and 128 = L*W*h

 

Just do everything in terms of W:

 

128 = (2W) * W * W

 

128 = 2W³

 

64 = W³

 

W = 4 feet

 

Since h = W, h also equals 4 feet

 

And since L = 2W, L = 8 feet
