What is the Hindu Belief of life after death and reincarnation?

This is social studies and I really need the answer.I think it is between Hinduism or Buddhism.

Buddhism is an off shoot of Hinduism and samsara as well as nirvana are both Buddhist doctrines but Sanskrit words that literally imply:

 

Nirvana: Liberation, Hindu equivalent is Moksh. 

 

Samsara: is the cycle of life in the world Hindu equivalent is  sansara-chakra.  

 

Traditional Hindu belief about reincarnation is:

 

Human face the consequence of their actions (Karma), based on that they come to the world as animal and are reincarnated 84,000 times before getting human life again.

 

Buddhist belief about reincarnation is:

 

Human face the consequence of their actions (Karma) and  attain Nirvana when they unselfishly serve the life on the planet while remaining aloof with their self-gain.

The cycle of death and rebirth in Hinduism (as well as Buddhism) is called samsara. The goal of the individual is to break the cycle of samsara, as it is believed that life is suffering (one of the Four Noble Truths in Buddhism). In order to break the cycle of samsara, one must reach enlightenment, or nirvana.
