The coast of a movie ticket

The cost of a movie ticket,c, with an 8% sales tax can be represented by the expression c+0.08c. Simplify the expression. Determine the total coast of the ticket after sales tax if the original price of the ticket is $9.

I suppose you could also factor out the c, again remembering that c = 1c.
 
c + .08c = c(1 + .08) = c(1.08)
 
9(1.08) = 9.72
