A store started with 873 sodas they sold 2/9 of them over the next month and they had to throw out 3/7 of ones that were left because they were expired how many sodas did they have at the end

So, Ilhan, if we start with 873 sodas and break them into 9 parts, there are 873/9 = 97 parts. They had 7 parts left after discarding 2 and got rid of 3 of those for being expired, so they had 4/9 left. Since one group is 97, four groups is 97(4) = 388 sodas left.

 

The mathematical way to solve would be 873(7/9)(4/7) = 388 sodas left.
