One can note that for any line through
two given points.. If the x values are the
same it's a vertical line of form x = __
 
If the y values are the same it is a horizontal
line of form y = __
 
Otherwise, find the slope from
m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
 
Then you can use point slope formula
y - y1 = m(x-x1) using either of the 
given points as (x1, y1

Example:  find equation of the line through
(-2, 4) and (3, -6)
 
m = (-6-4)/(3-(-2)) = -10/5 = -2
 
using point slope formula with (-2,4)
 
y - 4 = -2(x-(-2))
y - 4 = -2(x+2)
y - 4 = -2x - 4
y = -2x
