30% may be written as (30/100) or (0.30) as needed by the problem.

 

1/2 Pop Delight  +    1/2 Pop King

     (0.30)*(0.5) + (0.60)*(0.5) are rotten.

     0.15 + 0.30   are rotten

       0.45           are rotten

        45%         are rotten

 

Note: this is also the average of 30% and 60%.
