4) How did the Supreme Court ruling in Plessy v Ferguson affect segregationist polices in the South?

i have nothing else to add to my question, this is my question i have for you please help me find the answer i cannot remember

The conclusion of the case declared segregation to be unconstitutional.  This means the end of the Jim Crow laws.

On the contrary, Plessy v. Ferguson uphelp the constitutionality of segregation under the "separate but equal" doctrine.
