To solve this take your equation and break into all the variables that don't include i and all the ones that include i.

 

So, you have 3(7-2x) = x

21 - 6x = x

21 = 7x

x=3

 

On the i side you have

-20 y + 15 = -2 -2y; from this we see that 

-18y = -17

y = 17/18
