I would say the first and main reason, was because it provided America opportunities for the economy on a global scale. Another reason was due to the fact that our military security had a very small defense force, at that time in History. Thirdly, they provided technology that enhanced our industrial beginnings. Fourthly, we should have been very concerned about losing our men as well as the war. Lastly, wealthy colonists were concerned that a revolution would threaten their land holdings and property in general. I hope this helps!10/02/25
