If the half life is 8 days and we go 32 days we need to find out how
many times 8 goes into 32 to see how many times the sample was
halved. 32/8 = 4
The sample has been halved 4 times.
S(1/2)4 = S(1/16)
There is 1/16 of the original sample remaining.
