Two samples of potassium iodide decompose. One sample gives 13.0 g of K and 42.3 g of I. If the second sample has 24.4 g of K, what is the mass of I? (remember significant figures and units in your answer)

This question is a simple ratio/proportion. Just set it up in the form of m_K1/m_I1 = m_K2/m_I2 and solve for the unknown m_I2.
