8 tickets cost 5 bucks, how much does 40 cost? :) if anyone could help me that would be great!! thank you so much:) math just isn't my subject lol.

This is a ratio problem

 

8 tickets/$5 = 40 tickets/$x     cross multiply

 

$8x tickets = $200 tickets     divide both sides by 8 tickets

 

$x = $25
