how to solve the linear equation 5x+10=1,100

I need to slolve  this as a linear equation and graph and I have no idea how.

5x+10=1,100

5x+10-10=1,100-10

5x=1090

5x/5=1090/5

x=218

now you draw only that part of the number line with the number 218 on it; you don't have to start at the origin

 5X + 10 = 1100

 

   X + 2 = 220

 

   X = 220-2 = 218

Subtract 10 from both sides of equation

 

5x + 10 - 10 = 1100 - 10

5x = 1090

 

Divide both sides of equation by 5

 

5x/5 = 1090/5

x= 218
