For lawn mowing the algebraic expression would be 20L and for car washing it would be 7H, where L is the number of lawns mowed and H is the number of hours spent washing cars
In terms of which is more profitable it just depends on how long it takes you to mow a lawn and how many hours that you are willing to work in a particular week.
So say you mow 2 lawns per week, that would be 2 x $20 = $40 in earnings.
That means that if you were able to devote more than 40 / $7 = 5.71 hours per week to washing cars that you could earn more washing cars.
