what is the next number in the sequence 6,9,15,24,39,63?

pls help im bouta die i need help please.

Now all we need is a recursive function for this!
 
an = an-2 + an-1
 
All of the terms will be multiples of 3 but not always of 6 or 9. I haven't gotten any farther though.

Recursive definition:
a1 = 6                     [base case for n=1]
a2 = 9                     [base case for n=2]
an = an-2 + an-1        [recursive case for n>2]
 
Looks amazingly like Fibonacci sequence.

It IS a 'generalized' Fibonacci sequence because of the rule" "add the two most recent terms to obtain next term."
