The sum of three consecutive odd integers, the first of which is 2n + 1

im having trouble figuring out the answer to this question and I really don't even know where to start on it. if you guys could be help that would be great this is the only question that I am having trouble figuring out

I think Mark meant to write 3(2n) or 6n instead of 3n.  Also the second term would be 1 instead of 2.
So 6n+9 would be the sum.

Often, it help to select a value for n (say, n=5) and add the values.
       11+13+15 = 39
     Is this 6(5)+9 ?  yes
