This problem got a little munged in the posting. Is this meant to be a continuation of the skier-down-the-slope problem you already posted? If that is the case, we would need to have a consensus value for the coefficient of friction between the skier's skis and the snow, assuming that friction is what is bringing the skier to rest. I can look up a standard value, but that would assume a particular kind of material for the skis. Do you have any information about that (assuming I am even interpreting this question correctly)?
