The problem gives the equation of the line in Standard Form (Ax+By=C).
The slope, often called "rise over run," is the "m" in the slope-intercept form of the equation of a line: y=mx+b
Now, if you [once and forever] convert Ax+By=B into y=mx+b, you will find that m=(-A/B). But, if you insist on doing it for each problem forever, you may.
The slope, m=(-A/B) = (-6/(-3)) = 2.
And, doing that for each equation, you get:
6x-3y=12
-3y = -6x + 12
y = ((-6)/(-3))x + 12
y = 2x + 12
y = mx + b
m = 2
