To remind himself of where he buried his treasure, a pirate made this map. He made two of the statements true and one statement false to confuse his enemies in case they captured the map. How will the pirate know where he buried his treasure.
Three statements are:
1: The treasure is not on this island
2: The treasure is not on the island to the northwest.
3: The treasure is buried here.

If 1 is true, then 3 must be false, leaving 2 as the other true statement. No location of the treasure is given.
If 2 is false, then 2 and 3 must be true. "The treasure is buried here."

Where would the treasure be if two of the statements were false and only one statement was true?

Mark,
The probability that it rain once on the weekend is 1/2 not 3/4.
The probability that it rains at least once on the weekend is 3/4.

Perhaps the omission of "only" or "at most," or"only," prompted what you consider my error.
If it rains twice, it must have rained once.
