i want to know the work of how to get the answer and how to find it the letter c

For any quadratic function (which this is), there are two numbers that when multiplied together give c and when added together give b (12).  

 

Assuming the function is: 

 

f(x) = x² + 12x + c, then

 

All we need do is find two numbers that add to 12.  Please note that there are several potential combinations:

 

1, 11

2, 10

3, 9

etc.

 

If you pick one (e.g., 1,11) and multiply the two numbers, then we get

 

f(x) = x² + 12x + 11

 

If you pick a different pair, then c will be different even though 12 will not change.

I assume that the second = sign in your question should be + so the definition of function F is as I have given it at the beginning of this reply.

 

If we knew a particular value F(x) as a number, for a particular value of x, then we could find c.  Are you sure that you have stated this problem fully & correctly?

Also, in a quadratic function, c is ALWAYS the y-intercept.
