What are the uses of sociology after sociology class?

I have to write a paper on  how I will use sociology in my future, but I'm stuck.

Well, think about what sociology covers.  It studies why people are the way they are in social class and how they got that way.  These days, in the United States, we tend to treat each other as equals.  However, that's not the same everywhere and it was not the same as it was in the past.  In order to change such things, we had to study sociology to find out how to create our own form of social structure.  Maybe having such knowledge could help you if you're going to create your own social structure.  The structure with your friends, your family, maybe even a business if you start one.  It could help you be a better manager of your people so that you can come up with a social structure that works.  Who's in charge of who and why.  Maybe you'd use the information to figure out why someone feels that the other gets more privileges than he does.

 

You should also consider travel.  Suppose you went to a different country and their social structure is very different than the one you know.  Using sociology you could come with a better understanding of their social structure and thereby be better able to adapt to or (at the very least) tolerate it.

2. Choose employers who have equitable and ethical policies.
