what is the circumfrence (sic, should be spelled CIRCUMFERENCE) of a circle?
A CIRCLE IS DEFINED AS THE SET OF ALL POINTS IN A PLANE EQUIDISTANT FROM A FIXED 'CENTER' POINT.
It's a curved line enclosing a space. The Circumference is the perimeter of the enclosed space.
Formulas: C = pi•diameter or 2(pi)(radius) where radius is the distance from the center to any point of the circle.
(Points in the enclosed space are not on the circle).
ALL CIRCLES ARE SIMILAR, just as all squares are similar.
The number "pi" is not rational, and it's not 22/7 nor is it 3.14; it is approximately 3.14159265.....
