Where was most of Egypt's fertile land located?

Hi Catherine,

 

I'm not familiar with the textbook you have, but the answer is rather clear.  If you look at a map of Egypt, you can probably guess.  I googled images of "Egypt fertile land" and found a number that illustrate the answer.  Most farming was done along the Nile River.
