Hi Dani,
These questions seem to be asking about the Old Saxon poem called "Genesis". There actually are 2 versions of this- "Genesis A" and "Genesis B". I suspect these questions are referencing Genesis B.
This poem is not a translation of Genesis from the Bible. It is an original work that parallels the Biblical story of the the Fall of Man from Genesis 3 in the Bible. While the basic outline is very similar, there are differences (such as the appearance of Satan, and the sequence of events).
One other thing to help you. When the questions refer to "they", I think that refers to the authors of the poem. What did the authors of the poem value? Did the authors change the terms of the story? etc.
