How would I turn the equation Y = 3x + -3 into standard form?

The Standard Form of the equation of a line looks like:    Ax + By = C

 

So,

   y = 3x + (-3)

   -3x + y = (-3)           [subtract 3x from both sides]

   3x - y = 3           [multiply by (-1) because, by convention the "A" in the equation above is positive]
