when dealing wih graphing linear equations

when dealing with graphing linear equations just as y=3/4x how do you set up the equation and how do you solve it

Hi Amanda.

 

To graph the equation you make a table for x and for y. The set x-1 and solve for y.

Then x=2 and solve for Y again.

Then keep adding 1 to X to get more points.

If your problem requires it, you can repeat this for -1, -2. etc and graph it below the x axis, as well.
