Kasey has been mowing lawns to save up money for a concert. He earns 15 per hour and needs at least $90 to go to the concert. a write an inequality to represnt the number of hours, h, Kasey needs to mow to be able to go to the concert. Graph the inequality on the numberline. Number line starts at 1 and increments by 10 to 100

 You know that Kasey earns $15 per hour so 15 would be your rate of change. Kasey earns $15 after one hour but what if she does more than one hour? Let's say she works two hours. Then she earns $15. How do we know that? 15 times, the amount of hours she worked, two. However, 

you do not know how many hours she worked so use the variable H.

 

Does she want to earn more than 90?  What needs to be bigger? The amount she earns? Or $90? The inequality sign should open to what needs to be bigger. NOTE: it could also be equal to so use less than or equal to OR greater than or equal to.
