What is 34% of 128?

I got 43.5 on my weekly math. and I went to the teacher to check it. and I got it wrong and I used a calculator. I dont know what I did wrong..

 

My work was----

 

 

 

x/128 = 34/100 

 

That was my proportion.. I multiplied 128 and 34 then divided by 100 and got 43.5

 

What did I do wrong?

You can use multiplication:

 

34% of 128         "of" means multiply here

0.34 · 128

43.52

 

The only thing "wrong" that I can see is that you left off the 2.
