To answer this question, you first have to do a little research,  Do you know what K2 is?  If you google it you will see that it is the 2nd highest mountain in the world.  It is on the border between Pakistan and China, and its summit (top) is 28,251 feet above sea level.

 

So you need to find the DIFFERENCE between 28,251 feet and 23,201.06 feet.  To find the difference we need to subtract:

 

 28,251.00

-23,201.06

-------------

   5,049.94 

 

Liam descended 5,049.94 feet.  Do you how to subtract? ("borrowing", etc.?)
