Slope intercept form is y = mx + b, so you just need to get x on the opposite side of the equation and get the y by itself.

 

10x - 10x + 2y = -2 - 10x

2y = -10x -2 (just switch the -2 and -10x around using the cummutative property.)

2y/y = -10x/2 - 2/2

 

y = -5x - 1
