It is polynomial question

(1) f(x)=4x^3,g(x)=x^2-8x-14

(2) f(x)=2x^7,g(x)=11x^6

Ma, please, what am I supposed to do with f(x) and g(x)?  Multiply them? Add them? Subtract them? Divide one by the other?  I need more information.

You,probably, need to find the composition of functions f(g). If it so, just write

 

1) f(g) = 4g³ = 4(x² - 8x = 14)³

 

2) f(g) = 2g⁷ = 2(11x⁶)7 = 2x11⁷ x⁴²

 

You can write the first function in the expanded form by using cubic formula if you are asked to do so.
