Ma, please, what am I supposed to do with f(x) and g(x)? Multiply them? Add them? Subtract them? Divide one by the other? I need more information.

You,probably, need to find the composition of functions f(g). If it so, just write
1) f(g) = 4g3 = 4(x2 - 8x = 14)3
2) f(g) = 2g7 = 2(11x6)7 = 2x117 x42
You can write the first function in the expanded form by using cubic formula if you are asked to do so.
