Cost of a Ride = fare + tip, where the fare is the cost of the ride before the 20% tip
think of this as
cost = fare + .2(fare) OR
c = f + .2f. OR
c = 1.2f
if the total cost is $24, use c = 24, then
24 = 1.2f
divide by 1.2 to give a cab fare of $20 before the $4 tip
