Insulin is a hormone secreted by pancreas, specifically Beta cells of pancreas. The hormone is directly secreted in blood.

 

Hormone is a complex protein and protein is synthesized from mRNA which in turn is encoded by DNA that resides in nucleus. Ribosome are tiny cellular factories that synthesize all proteins and they are located on endoplasmic reticulum.
