Hi Sara, the area of a circular garden is given by the formula, A = pi * r2. The circumference of a circular garden is given by the formula C = pi * d.
Substituting for r in the area formula:
A = pi * (p - 5)2
A = pi * (p2 - 10p + 25) ft2
Substituting for d in the circumference formula:
d is equal to 2 * r
d = 2 * (p - 5)
C = pi * 2 * (p - 5)
C = pi * 2p * (-10)
C = -10 * pi * 2p ft
