It would be competitive inhibition since the molecular would be competing with normal substrate.
Depending upon its affinity with enzyme in terms of how could it fit to active site, the reaction would be inhibited. Stoichiometry of reaction would depend on the affinity of normal substrate to enzyme versus this non-substrate molecule that has the ability to bind to active site and block it.
