In a third day period a household uses 39.6 kilolitres of water. If the water board charges 75 cents/ 1000, find the 

a) cost of water during the third day period

b) daily consumption of water

c) daily cost of water.

Cost of water during third day period = 0.75 × 39.6

 

=$ 29.7

 

Daily consumption of water = 39600/ 3 

 

= 13.2 kilo litres
