there are 29 people in a room. Of these, 11 people speak spanish, 24 people speak english, and 3 don't speak either. How many people speak spanish and english

24 people speak English and there are 29 people in all. 

 

That leaves 5 people who don't speak English.

 

3 of those people don't speak English or Spanish.

 

That leaves 2 people who speak only Spanish and no English.

 

Since there are 11 people who speak Spanish, 9 of them speak Spanish and English.
