If you're having trouble with the writing (you were a bit vague), I would start freewriting by jotting down everything that you *might* see in a pyramid if you could go back in time. Then, put it into first person and make a story out of it.

I would still jot down what you might see.
 
Without giving you a full session here, I would write this as you would a normal essay - write what you would see in every room in third person. Write a solid narrative essay/creative writing piece - see if you can meld the two styles together.
 
Then, go back through it and convert it to first person.
