Question

If a store gives out 35000 pieces of candy to 21,000, and 9500 of those 21000 get 2 pieces of candy and 15000 of those people get 1 piece of candy, what % of candy was given to the people who got 2 pieces and is this different from what % of people got can two pieces of candy

Since 9500 people got 2 pcs each, they were given a total of 19000 pcs of candy.  The percent of candy give to people who got 2 pieces is 19000/35000 = 54.29%

 

The percentage of people who got 2 pcs is 9500/21000 = 45.24%
