From the first and second statements given to us we know that HI = 9 and IJ = 9.
Therefore, we know HI=IJ.
From the third statement we see that IJ = JH.
Combining this with what we deduced from the first two statements we now know that
HI =IJ = JH.
Simplify this to HI = JH and we have proven that HI = JH by the transitive property of equality.
The transitive property of equality states that if a = b and b = c, then a = c.
