Question about Circles and a Tangent Line. Help, please?

11. Determine whether a tangent line to circle O is shown in the diagram, for AB = 7.75, OB = 4, and AO = 8.75. Explain your reasoning. (The figure is not drawn to scale.)

I used the Pythagorean Theorem: a2 + b2 = c2
7.75 + 4 = 8.75
60.0625 + 16 = 76.5625
76.0625 = 76.5625

Since they are not equal, we can conclude that it is not a tangent.
