scalene means no two sides are equal in length

in any triangle the sum of the measures of any two sides must be greater then the measure of the third side

8+13=21

a) 25-21=4, and  8, 13, 4 doesn't work because 8+4 is not greater than 13

b) 27-21=6, and 8, 13, 6 works so b) is one answer

c) 29-21=8, and 8, 13, 8 doesn't work because the triangle is scalene; no two sides are equal

d) 32-21=11, and 8, 13, 11 works so d) is another answer

e) 34-21=13, and 8, 13, 13 doesn't work because the triangle is scalene again
