at the bank I asked the teller to change a $10 bill into dimes quarters and half dollars so that I should have four times as many quarters as half dollars and the number of Dimes would be 10 more than three times the number of half dollars how many of each kind did he give me?

h = number of half dollars

4h = number of quarters

3h + 10 =number of dimes

 

0.5(h) + 0.25(4h) + 0.1(3h + 10 ) = 10        

0.5h + h + 0.3h + 1 = 10

1.8h = 9

h = 5
