Mathematics (and Science) Instruction by a Mathematician!
f(x)-g(x) = 5x-3 - (3x-3) = 2x
F(x) = \integral (5x-3)dx = 5x^2/2 - 3x +C_1
G(x) = \integral (3x-3)dx = 3x^2/2 - 3x +C_2
F(x)-G(x) = x^2 +C = \integral (f(x)-g(x))dx = \integral (2x)dx = x^2+C
Hope that helps!
