(x² - 3x - 10)(x + 7) = 0

 

 

The trinomial can be factored.

 

(x + 2)(x - 5)(x + 7) = 0

 

 

Set the factors equal to zero.

 

x + 2 = 0       ,         x - 5 = 0        ,        x + 7 = 0

 

x = -2           ,          x = 5             ,        x = -7

 

 

We have three zeros.

 

x = -7

x = -2

x = 5
