What is the width of the rectangular prism?

A 3 inch wide border is wrapped around a rectangular prism. The length of the rectangular prism is 8 inches longer than its width.  The surface area covered by the border is 383 square inches.  What is the width of the rectangular prism?  Answer in units of inches.

There isn't enough information to answer the question because the border could either go around the front and back or around the sides. In these two different scenarios the surface area would be completely different. Do you have a picture?

(2*5w)+2(5(w+8))=383
10w+10w+80=383
20w=303
w=15.15
 
W is with and W+8 is length
