That usually happens when Windows caches the old volume label or the drive’s metadata gets a little corrupted. Try plugging it in, opening Disk Management, and renaming or reformatting the drive. If it keeps reverting, check for a hidden "autorum.inf" file or reformat it on a clean computer that usually fixes it.
