Since these Lenovo M70q G3 systems are shared/public computers, it is possible the USB drive label was changed automatically through Windows policies, cached metadata, or previous formatting information stored on the device. Even if the drive appears empty, the volume label can still remain embedded in the file system. I would recommend checking the drive in Disk Management, renaming or reformatting it, and testing it on another computer to determine whether the issue is with the USB drive itself or the campus systems.
