Tiffany needs to know if a new prescription drug was effective in treating patients’ anxiety. She used the Cohen’s d formula, which resulted in a .65 . What was the effect size of the new prescription drug? Explain. (Inferential Stats: Effect Size).

Cohen's d is itself a measure of effect size, as is R², which you also posted a question about. Therefore, I'm not sure what this question is asking. Maybe to give a verbal interpretation of effect size?

If so, cutoffs are:

0.2 = Small

0.5 = Medium

0.8 = Large

So, the answer would be medium-large or high-medium if that's what the question is looking for.
