I have taught Japanese college administrators and Saudi Arabian students both with great success. I developed great relationships from the tutoring with both groups. In total I worked with the Administrators for two months and the Saudi student for a month. Once finished with the actual job with the Saudi student, we will continue working together as we work well together and the student desires more growth.

Yes, I've taught ESL students for over 10 years, both in tutoring settings as well as classroom settings. I especially really enjoy making the learning time fun and being creative in how a student learns. This means that we do activities that engage the different ways that a student learns reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. If you are a kinesthetic learner, that means we will do activities that engage both using the body as well as speaking phrases while we use our body.

Where are so many ways to learn a language. That's what I love about teaching. It is ever changing and developing as both the student and the teacher learn how to work well together!

Yes, I had the opportunity to teach English to a diverse group of international students for one month in Europe, as part of a volunteer initiative. It was a rewarding experience teaching students ranging from ages 6 to 70, across various cultural backgrounds, in both Poland and Hungary.

 I have taught international students English as a Second Language since 2018. I began tutoring online for VIPKid (to students primarily located in Beijing and the surrounding areas) early in the morning prior to the beginning of school and late at night as well as on weekends. About 6-8 months into this new tutoring position, I decided to apply to other similar companies such as QKids and Zebra English. I continued to alternate among each of the three companies until the companies were required to make changes to the current process/procedures for employing foreign language teachers. Many tutors were laid off due to these changes.

After this occurred (and currently), I transitioned into using an online platform to tutor children and adults from all over the world in various ELA skills, depending on each student's needs. For some students, we targeted the basic fundamentals: daily conversations, etc. For other students, I created and delivered lessons that focused on specific grade level state-assessments in order to prepare the students to master the state standards/skills that are assessed, and still for others, we have focused on improving pronunciation, vocabulary, etc.

Yes, I have taught English to International students of all ages for more than 25 years. I worked extensively with International students when I was working at Michigan State University. Families in the married housing units of the university would bring their entire family to events that I planned, to learn and practice English. The college students often already spoke some English and wanted to improve their skills. The spouses, children and grandparents sometimes would not speak any English so they needed to learn everything. I provided a comfortable environment at the community center and taught them to speak and write English. I have a Midwest accent as I was born and raised in The United States in the Midwest. This is the most common accent that you will hear in movies and at schools.
